Agile Project Management
In this course you will learn about agile project management, delivery models such as waterfall, agile and hybrid, the Scrum framework and terminology such as lean and kanban.
Projects can vary greatly in size and complexity. It is therefore natural that the approach to project management also differs and is tailored to the challenges of the project. All projects require a business case, organization, planning, execution, closure, and benefit realization, but the sequence, scope, and flow should be adapted to the needs of the project.
After the course is completed, you should have a good understanding of:
- The importance of successful projects in modern businesses
- Agile project management
- Runners, repeaters, and strangers
- Agile values and principles
- Different delivery models: Agile, waterfall, or hybrid
- Scrum as a framework
- Scrum organization
- Scrum sprint
- Lean, kanban, and other modern project concepts
There is no simple path to the goal of succeeding in projects, but the right choice and proper use of project and delivery models are a step in the right direction. The most important thing is that complex projects are treated with respect, and that projects are organized with the necessary competence and capacity to succeed.
The course is based on the international project management standards “A Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge” from the Project Management Institute (USA), “Managing Successful Projects with PRINCE2” from Axelos (UK) and ISO 21500 “Guidance on Project Management".
